Special Eco-Justice Initiatives

The Black Church Environment Justice Program

This effort supports the seven historic black denominations which belong to the National Council of the Churches of Christ as they address environmental justice issues. Studies have shown that contaminating facilities are more likely to be located in communities where poor people and people of color live. Environmental Ministries of the Orthodox Communions

Five Orthodox communions participate in the Eco-Justice Working Group, which provides special assistance for Orthodox parishes. For more information about this program, contact cassandra@toad.net.
