Learn More: Environmental Justice
About the Issue
A disproportionate burden of illness and insecurity fall on the most vulnerable people. Every person is made in God's image and has been given gifts to contribute to the thriving of all Creation. The most vulnerable of His people should enjoy equal environmental protection. Protecting the dignity of every human being is integral to protecting Creation. The social sins of racism and persistent poverty undermine human dignity and repress people's ability to fully develop and use God's gifts.
