Global Anglican Congress on the Stewardship
of Creation, Declaration to the United Nations World Summit on Sustainable
Development, 2002
Sustainable development is one of the most urgent moral issues
of our time. It begins in sustainable values that recognize the
interrelatedness of all life. Sustainable development cannot be
defined in economic terms alone, but must begin in a commitment
to care for the poor, the marginalized, and the voiceless. Therefore
it is sustainable community that we seek.
