NCC Eco-Justice Program Announces Two New Contests... This Fall, the NCC Eco-Justice Program is sponsoring two new contests: The Thanksgiving Prayer Offering and On God's Wild Land. Regardless of your skills or interests, there is a way for you to participate. Thanksgiving Prayer Offering (Click here for details) Submit a Thanksgiving Prayer to be included in the NCC Thanksgiving Prayer Book! This November, as we bow our heads for Thanksgiving grace, we have the opportunity to consider our relationship with food, with the people who grow our food, and with our Christian faith. The NCC Eco-Justice Program invites you to submit your best written prayer to be included in a downloadable Thanksgiving collection. On God's Wild Land (Click here for details) Wilderness Photo Contest: Connecting with God in Wild Places Many people of faith have powerful experiences with God in wild lands. Wilderness was the place where Moses was called, where the Israelites gained their freedom and religious identity, and where prophets encountered God. John the Baptist and Jesus also both relied on wilderness retreats throughout their ministries. God instructed Job to stop and consider God’s wonders (Job 37:14).
