Call to Worship (adopted from Psalm 127)

Leader: The Lord created the Earth, builds the house, guards the city, and gives sleep and rest to his beloved children

All: May we find God’s blessings in the home

Leader: The Lord gives us sons and daughters, the fruit of the womb, a reward and a heritage from the Lord

All: May we find God’s blessings in children

Leader: As all of God’s children, we are called to honor God’s Creationand each other, remembering that all of God’s gifts are to be protected and honored.

All: May we find God’s blessings in our daily lives.

Sending Forth

In the silence of our hearts and in spoken words
Let us give thanks for the gift of this day
And pray for the life of the world

That its beauty may be preserved,
Its variety retained, its integrity respected
Lord hear us pray

That the children of today
May enjoy the air they breathe
Without worry or hesitation
Lord hear us pray

That the children of tomorrow
May not need a museum to show them
The wonders of nature today
Lord hear us pray

That we may go forth with pure hearts
Seeking to protect all of God’s creation
So that we may live as one body of Christ
Lord bless us
