National Council of Churches Eco-Justice Staff
Chloe Schwabe is currently assistant director of environmental health, after serving as an eco-justice specialist and focusing on e-outreach efforts and curriculum development for a variety of eco-justice initiatives. Previously, Chloe worked with faith and secular groups walking in solidarity with the people of El Salvador and Colombia to improve human rights and environmental justice conditions. Chloe spent two years as an Americorps Volunteer teaching bilingual environmental education in Portland, OR. Chloe received her Master’s Degree in Latin American Studies at the University of Texas- Austin. She researched women’s lives in a Bolivian prison. Chloe received a BA in Environmental Studies and a BA in Hispanic Studies at Mills College. She spent a semester studying Tropical Ecology in Ecuador.
