Jesus Christ, the light of the world, calls us follow him and commands us to love one another as God has loved us (John 8:12 and 13:34). Seeking out ways to reduce our carbon emissions and limit the impacts of global warming, is one way that we can love our neighbors living in poverty who have contributed least to the problem of climate change yet stand to suffer the most. "Come let us walk in the light of the Lord." (Isaiah 2:5)
