Carbon Reduction Campaign: Individuals - Adjust Your Thermostat
Practice a little climate control to limit your contributions to climate change.
Scripture encourages us to model ourselves after Christ, looking not to our own interests, but to the interests of others (Philippians 2: 4-5). It is important to remember that every detail of our lives, including the temperature of our homes, affects our neighbors near and far. By making minor adjustments to our thermostats, we can significantly reduce our individual carbon emissions while remaining comfortable. Adjusting the thermostat by just three degrees, down in the winter and up in the summer can prevent the emission of close to 1,100 pounds of CO2 each year! Learn more...
